About Captain Joe P
For the past eight seasons, Captain Joe Penta has been running top-tier fishing charters out of Sandwich Marina. As one of the standout captains in the fleet, he brings his
unmatched passion for fishing to every
trip. Joe has led charters from inshore
waters to as far as 100 miles off the New England coast, chasing some of the
ocean’s most prized catches. Catching
giant bluefin tuna is in his blood, a
tradition he has carried on for
over a decade. One of his most
memorable catches was a
grueling five-hour battle
with an 813-pound tuna.
A seasoned competitor, Joe has participated in many of New England’s top sport fishing
tournaments. While he’s yet to claim the
grand prize, he has certainly made his
mark, weighing in some impressive
catches. Fishing is more than just a
profession for Joe—it’s a lifelong love.
Some of his earliest and fondest
memories are of summer days spent
cruising through the Cape Cod Canal
with his family, soaking in the peaceful
beauty of the water. Now, he’s here to
help others create those
unforgettable moments on
the sea.
